We needed help getting some tenants to vacate the property once their lease expired. We had several issues with these tenants and neighbor complaints of potential domestic violence and other loud and disruptive noises. We showed a lot of patience to them but in then end, we could not risk losing other residents who threatened to leave. When we sent the letter notifying them we would not renew their lease, everything was cordial at first, though we suspect tensions rose within the home. At some point the one tenant of the couple threatened that he would not be leaving at the end of the lease and threatened lawsuits against us for discrimination. We hired JoAnne to help us mediate the situation as it became clear we could no longer manage it ourselves. Her letters and plan of approach were very direct and effective and she was very clear with what may or may not happen as we went along and what alternative routes we might take. In the end, we are glad to say that the tenants left at the end of their lease and paid their rent plus a minor damages bill.
